Fairway Solar consisted of installing 300 piles for the 1.5 MW solar project in Fairwater, WI. The project faced significant challenges due to underground obstructions preventing many piles from reaching their required 12-foot depth.
Zenith Tech (ZTI) engineered a solution to ensure the necessary load capacity was met, allowing the project to move forward successfully. The team analyzed all 300 piles, developing 7-8 specific criteria to re-engineer the installation process and ensure the project’s success.
This project utilized GPS technology on the PD10 pile driver, enhancing precision in pile placement. ZTI also collaborated with Payne + Dolan (P+D) for surveying and technical oversight, ensuring accuracy throughout the process.
Despite the challenges, ZTI delivered a successful solar installation, demonstrating its ability to innovate and overcome obstacles, positioning it for future opportunities in the solar energy sector.
